[Elric arrived in the small hours of the morning and has spent his time settling in and catching up with all the news that's fit to print. You people amuse him. Strikeouts quite unreadable. There seems little point in wasting time on empty niceties and idle chatter, though it pains me to ignore the customs of a new place from the start. Stealer of Souls. That has to be the best name ever. Especially for a Warden.

I'm Drake Stone. Evil Henchman, Morganian Sorcerer, and a stage magician.

[Elric's laughing at you, Drake.]

It is not a sobriquet of which I am particularly fond, but I see no point in denying it.

A henchman, you say? And who, then, is your master or mistress?

Kinslayer? That one's cool, too.

Arthas at the moment. My last master killed me, that's how I got here.

I know not precisely what you mean by "cool", but I gather you think it is no bad thing. Believe me, sirrah, there is nothing "cool" in the story by which I earned that name.

[And he is so totally unsurprised that Drake's last master killed him.]

Tell me about this Arthas, then. Is he a wizard or a warrior?

[Elric is quietly just a wee bit impressed, but he's not going to admit it. Plus, respect for the old forms and all that.]

I am honoured to meet you, Lord Loki. Are there others of your kindred aboard here?

These countries are all unfamiliar to me, but then that is only to be expected. I had not expected to find divinities here.

Grag Ardent Thordarsson, Dwarf previously of Uberwald, currently of Ankh-Morpork, official liason between the Mine, the Grags, and the City. Former employee of Grag Hamcrusher of Uberwald.

It is a pleasure.

It is a pleasure indeed to meet those who are well-spoken in this place. Though the term "Grag" is unfamiliar to me.

It is a Dwarfish spiritual leader, of a form. We are learned in What Tak Wrote and His Laws, and advise the Dwarfish population on how to live their lives by the Laws.

Stealer of Souls. How inspiring.

I am Sylvanas Windrunner, Banshee Queen of the Forsaken.

Some would consider it a warning, Lady Sylvanas.

Your reputation precedes you.

I have already had my encounter with those who steal souls. I would not wish to repeat the experience.

Does it? And what do you know of me?

Your soul is safe from me, Lady. I have no wish to do such harm as long as I am here.

[Famous last words, Elric.]

I am told that you are the enemy of another on board this vessel, and that you are a warrior among your own people.

Stealer of Souls, huh? What does that make you? I'm guessing not of the human variety.

I'm Buffy. The Slayer.

It makes me an unlucky plaything of Fate, among other things. You are correct, however, that I am not human.

And how did you come by that title, Buffy? [That name sounds so weird to him, you can't even imagine.]

Fate does have a way of kicking your ass.

It's kind of inherited. One girl in all the world chosen to fight the demons and blah blah.. It's another one of those fate things. Haven't heard of it?

There is nothing like that in my world, but the concept of a chosen hero is not unfamiliar to me at all.

Rarely have I known such a hero to be a girl.
