(no subject)

I've got some spinach on the stove, but thought I'd say hi all the same, sitting here, scratching at the countless, dozens of mosquito bites I suddenly procured last night, all at once.

So lets talk about something other than New Orleans. I was up late last night, CNN burned into my brain alot of sadness.

We're having an indian summer, hence the mosquites I suppose, hence all the crisped and burnt leaves throughout the city.
And damn but have we been cultural lately. I've managed to hit up the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay (but just to eat), Palais de Tokyo, and the Musee Guimet, proper sketchbook in my proper handbag, working out all the kinks in my lazy fingers, on holiday for a few weeks.
I need to phone Monsieur Bowen back about sneaking into a vernissage this week, too...
But hasn't all been cultural, no siree. Aphra has returned this summer and we've reconquered a few old haunts, downing cocktails in some of the most d-e-c-a-d-e-n-t places in town. I could talk about the Ritz, you know, casual name-drop, and how glorious it was, but for now I'll keep the good memory to myself.

Ooh, and how money's been slipping through my fingers, its beyond my control. I need belt of a budget, and the return of a pitter-pat schedual, please.

For the record, in case everything goes wrong: I am TERRIFIED of hating my new school.
I'm in the last week but I wake up in cold sweats, practically, with fear of this. Lord, pull yourself together!
