(no subject)
in the past 24 hours have been more or less DEDICATED to the researching and acquisition of new music. I decided I should make sure that I've listened to every Polaris, Short List and Mercury Award Nominee. just for kicks right? gotta keep up with the kids. I'm 20 but you know.
my head and heart are exploding with inspiration. I officially want to work in music as much as I can without being a musician. :)
new stuff I love: girl talk (!!!! holy fuck!). basia bulat. new beck (modern guilt). born ruffians. cancer bats. the pink spiders. two hours traffic. the fratellis (okay I knew of them before but now they're basically getting me through the days).
one of these days I'll make a list of say, top ten favourite artists... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
also more awesome shows coming up this fall than I can handle. I'm seeing weezer in 12 days for fuck's sake. I also have to make it to the golden dogs, wintersleep, chromeo, dragonette, crystal castles at circa and girl talk now...

I'm noticing a lot more art/illustration/animation being incorporated with music these days. especially in all the after effects music videos these days (though they kind of also REALLY bug me with their 'animation'). new golden age of illustration? eh? eh???
