(no subject)
yesterday everyone including our teacher craig and the russians from our studio went to a beach on the bay of finland. there is bay, then about 30 feet of sand and stones, and then tall birch trees forever! we had a cook out with sausages and wine and tomatoes in the woods. i forgot my bathing suit in the US so i swam in my underwear. natasha and i went swimming really really far out into the bay and raced back. amanda got smashed and slava was wearing a speedo. slava borrowed her lighter and then amanda said ok but where are you going to keep it?
the night before nadia took all the american girls to a bathehouse that was basically like a two story apartment with a pool and a sauna that we rented from an old woman for the night. we got naked and smashed and went swiming and sauna-ing. the woman sat in a small room behind the bar and helped us with drinks and towels.
on teh way home with one more train switch to go the subway shut down and we had a long walk back to the dorms. we got over the big river between us and the bathehouse just in time to stand with like 200 people and watch them open for the big ships to go through.
