took pictures of a boy jousting with a spear made of grass. went to a palace in the middle of the wilderness that was (funny) chinese themed. learned (in her bedroom) that katherine the great had a large collection of snuff boxes that were kept full and used often. she also drank coffee very strong and black.
at home here now. i am close with my trip mates and speak a few words in russian. can pronounce serilics. got marylin manson tickets!!(ha!)going with girls across the hall and a 40 year old man named tom.
last night there were like 15 kids gathered at the entrance to the market outside of my window. they were being jolly in russian and some were kicking around what seemed to be an empty beer can - so fucking lusty! there are lots of couples making out ferociously on the streets. learning how to joke with the people here; at first they are stern.
