I remember kosher hot dogs at the Jewish Community Center's snack bar before dance class. They were cooked too much so the outside skin had separated from the inside meat and they were very red but I liked them more than regular hot dogs.

I remember my favorite green t-shirt and years after when I gave it away.

I remember - pre-school - when stretching my back hearing humming in my ears.

I remember - kindergarten - glitter stuck to my eyelashes during naptime.

I remember - fourth grade - the boys getting caught smoking cigarettes in the bathroom and getting suspended for one day for that and that being a big deal.

I remember Amanda Patt beign the only girl with bigger tits than mine and being the only girl that was taller than me. She wore big black t-shirts (tits floppy under them) and smoked lots of cigarettes. She was so cool. I remember becoming her friend by lots of my own effort and the time I spent with her being thrilling.

I remember chicken baked with paprika.

I remember "Do you want rice?".

I remember my cousins.

I remember "Let's go to Cherryhurst".

I remember, at Cherryhurst, "one for the hommies".

I remember Jared's.

I remember sleeping in my dad's black Volvo in a La Quinta Inn parking lot somewhere between Houston and Austin.
