yeah but we didn't have SATELLITES and other sweet technology then, just logic. Basically anyone could have been a scientist in the 1600s!

Wow. I mean, science is totally imperfect and full of THEORY which, of course, is generally accepted but not necessarily LAW. I hadn't heard this theory before. I like it though.

Whaaaaaat? The sea floor is "new" because it is constantly being subducted by the continental plates! This guy seems preeeeeeeeettty crazy. Where is all the extra matter coming from to increase the size of the Earth? Or is it just getting less and less dense? This does not make any sense! Of course the continents fit together when you just smoosh and deform the coastlines as needed! Mrrrrr... I am done with this. DONE!
