just another bullshit holiday
I am in a really bitchy mood tonight. Everyone was pissing me off for no reason so I hid in my room and made an alligator on my Lite Brite and now I have taken NyQuil and am waiting for it to kick in so I can sleep.
Every year people go nuts trying to find the most AWESOME THING EVER to do on New Year's Eve. You hold out and hold out and list all the things that you could do/go to/make out with, and scramble around at the last minute trying to decide what's going to be the best way to ring in the new year. Well, I dunno about you folks, but NYE for me is, nine times out of ten, a huge fucking letdown. I could recount past experiences as evidence, but that's terrible. Instead I will just say that I am almost glad to be sick this year, so I know I will be spending my night at home, probably in my pajamas, probably stoned on cough medicine, and probably not getting kissed at midnight, so I won't have to be disappointed because I won't be expecting my night to be amazing. People may say it is, but New Year's Eve isn't some sort of indicator of how the rest of your year's going to go.
