STUFF
Iain! Adam! Danielle! I have Christmas gifts to give you! I think we should all get together so I can give them to you all at once. I vote Thursday. Oui/non?
(I also have gifts for Steph, but her and her stupid going to Winnipeg and me and my stupid going to Omaha mean that she'll get hers on January 22nd, when she picks my sorry ass up at the airport.)
Oh yeah, speaking of gifts, the stuff I ordered of the interweb came today, THANK JESUS.
So anyway. I went to tamtar's after work today to meet her roommate(s). Only Alice was there, but I had met Nicole briefly last time I was over. All looks well - Alice seemed cool (and we already know how cool Tamara is), the room is big, and rent is cheap. The only thing is they don't have shared food - everyone just buys their own stuff, which is kind of foreign to me. They do have someone coming to see the place tomorrow, but it's a guy, and I don't think they're too enthusiastic about that, so basically I think I've got it. I'm going to give Tamara my damage deposit and half of January's rent, and then for the last week or so of January after I get back I'll kind of be back and forth moving stuff in. Luckily my dad and Sharon have two or three of pretty much everything, so they said I could ask them if I need stuff like chairs or dishes or whatever. HOORAY!
I have:
-desk (it's a vanity table, but just leave off the mirror and it'll probably do)
-dresser
-stereo
-bed? I don't know what my parents did with my old bed... hopefully it's still around
I need:
-bed? hopefully not, cause they're expensive
-phone (they have no land line, so getting a cell seems like the best plan)
-computer
-comfortable chair/loveseat/something for reading and whatnots
-dishes? (I don't know if they have communal dishes or not)
-towels (I would have stolen some from the hotel in Vegas, but I had no room in my suitcase)
-bedside table, maybe? not necessary, but would be nice if I can get one at Value Village or something
