My hematite ring broke. :'( I was washing my hands at work, and after I dried them off I noticed there was soap stuck on it so I took it off to wipe it away, and it fell on the floor and just split in two! Sadness.
I got off work at three today, so after depositing the rest of my pay at the bank, I did a bit more Christmas shopping. I found the perfect gift for Adam, and I wasn't even specifically looking for something for him yet (because he's basically impossible to shop for). I was just walking along minding my own business when suddenly it jumped into my arms and said, "BUY ME!" and I said, "Holy crap! A talking [Adam's Christmas present]!"
Do not let me buy any more stuff for my sisters. They are the easiest people to buy for, so if I didn't restrain myself I'd probably spend $300 on them by Christmas, because I always see stuff and go, "Hey, Alice would like that. That would be perfect for Maddie." Buying for everyone should be that easy.

That covers my immediate family and closest friends. I may buy for others, but that depends on funds, as I may quit my job when I leave for Vegas. If I can get up the nerve. God, it's like trying to break up with someone. But I hate my job. Well, I don't hate it really. I just hate the fact that it's eating up my entire life (and I'm pretty sure the lightheadedness I get in the mornings there is from the chemicals). I took it to get money together for school, and now I'm not going to school in January because I was too afraid to ask for a day off to go down to see an advisor and get registered. I need something with a little leeway. And closer to home would be nice, too.
Today I tried to make a stir-fry and failed. :( I forgot about the whole cornstarch/water to thicken the sauce thing, and by the time I remembered, not only was the sauce basically gone, I couldn't even find the cornstarch, so it was a lost cause (aside: 'cornstarch' is the most awkward word to type ever). So the tofu was the only thing that had szechuan taste; the vegetables were cooked, but kinda flavourless. I added soy sauce so it wouldn't be so dry, and it was still all right. Not stir-fry though. But I did, however, succeed in splattering oil and szechuan all over the top of the stove. :D
P.S. I have seen Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire three times. Likely to be four by this time next week.
