Because its lunch time, and I've just spent the past 20 minutes arguing over which Trek series was best...

EDIT I meant Deep Space Nine not Deed Space Nine, but spelled it wrong and now LJ won't let me edit the poll.

Differences of opinion over best captain and best film are all very well, but anyone voting for any series other than Deep Space Nine is probably beyond help.

DS9 is good, but I grew up with the Next Gen.

Next Gen was great. It was my first Trek. But it hasn't aged well at all. Deanna Troi dressed like a space hooker in the first season.

I'm not saying Locutus wasn't cool. I'm just saying that "Best of Both Worlds" isn't "In the Pale Moonlight".

And I'm not saying that "In the Pale Moonlight" isn't awesome, but there's an awful lot of Ferenghi comedy to sit through before you get to it.

I have repressed the Ferengi comedy, it's true. There hasn't been any in my rewatch so far, but I'm only about five episodes in.

(The missing question from the poll, of course, was "best pilot episode", which "Emissary" surely wins hands-down.)
