I can only turn from you for a while knowing you'd still stand behind me, but I could not leave you, and you know that, and neither would you want it. Sometimes compassion makes me give energy to others like last Friday, and I know I do have to pay for it every time... as you probably noticed. But you made me regain my balance much faster than usual by just being there and holding me.
Darkness cannot consume me... I can be swallowed by it, but eventually I'll always begin to shine through. This trait has never failed me so far.
I will not try to eradicate darkness, I'd fail anyway because I have my taints as well, but I strive for this perfect balance... for myself as well as for those I love.
For you... You've changed, you say. I am not the only one who changed... for the better. We both still live and learn, and our experiences make us who we are, but I would like to know who you once were, so when the time is right, please tell me and remember... It might hurt me, I might cry for the pain of a loved one is bright and sharp as my own, but it will help me understand and overcome.
We will soon be beyond all these matters anyway...
You mesmerized me. I will no longer ask how it happened, for it is not relevant anymore. Right now I only miss you, but even that won't be a worry anymore in a day's time.
