I am sure you all realize by now that the Headsman is a merciless force. Prisoners will not be released and interference only brings more suffering.

I know that they are your friends and your comrades, but they have committed crimes in the eyes of Lord Deior, and so must be punished.

So please, for your own safety, put aside your plans of rescue. You will be of more help to them in the aftermath if you are not wounded, or worse, killed.

And do remember not to attack the Headsman. It could warrant you a punishment of your own.

[That said, Rem closes his journal.

He's in the library, sorting books and playing with his shapeshifting. One might spot him pushing books into shelves, or one might see a large black cat walking along the railings. Perhaps you see a shaggy, black dog carrying a book in its mouth, or maybe you see a tall, sleek bird of many muted colors perching somewhere high up.

Or maybe you don't see him at all.

That piece of furniture looks a bit out of place, though...]
