The Dramatic Winter Fiction Contest
Strength in the Face of Adversity

Welcome to the second Official RPG Spot* Fiction Contest**! We hope to get a lot of entries this time around, and we've beefed up the prizes to make it more tempting.
The Basics:
Entries may be fan-fiction or original, but they must be written specifically for this contest. They must be between 1000 and 5000 words, they must adhere to the Strength in the Face of Adversity theme and be inspired by the quote above, and they must include the following:
1. A Hairbrush
2. Newspaper
3. Socks
The three listed items above do not need to be important to the plot. They are only there to insure that your piece was written for this contest and to add an extra element of challenge. The piece does not need to include the quote, but should be inspired by it.
This is a Drama contest, hence, all entries should be dramatic in nature. I would like to remind you that strength is not always physical, and Action is not necessary, though is still allowed, as long as the piece is centered around Drama.
You may enter as many pieces as you wish, as long as they were written specifically for this contest and adhere to all the rules and are submitted on time.
This contest will run from Nov. 15th, 2005 - Jan. 15, 2006. All entries must be submitted by 11:59PM, PST on Jan. 15, 2006.
Any and all entries that do not adhere to the guidelines above will be rejected. All participants will be notified by email of their acceptance or with the reason(s) why the fic didn't meet requirements. Rejected fics may be fixed and resubmitted before the deadline. Late entries will be accepted for up to 48 hours after the listed deadline, but will receive a score deduction of 5 points.

The judging procedures have changed as well. We will be working with a panel of three Judges, and scoring will be on a 10 point scale.
