one: Topics in Literature: The bookstore ordered the wrong thing so everyone was sold the wrong book. This will put us back a little, and we're supposed to receive the first assignment (Epic of Gilgamesh) via e-mail, but I haven't gotten mine yet. The professor doesn't thrill me, and my fellow students already irritate me. And there are only 7 students on our end (it's an ITV class) so it's particularly hard to blend in. I'm trying to be optimistic, although the fact that I spent most of the first class writing in my paper journal and only half paying attention doesn't exactly bode well.

two: U.S. History II: Class ended at about 7:20 last night, which wasn't much of a surprise since it's day one, and last year in philosophy the professor did the same thing on day one. BUt it looks good so far, if for no other reason than I already love the professor. My sister has my beloved philosophy professor for Western Civ I on Monday and Wednesday mornings and she declared that she believes the man is on drugs. I'll give her some time to get used to him. I didn't love him immediately either.

three: Human Biology: Kill me now. We had a full lecture today during which I retained absolutely nothing because I understood none of it. I think I'm going to try outlining my chapters and, you know, actually study them if I want to get through this class. Of course, I don't know how to get out of the classes where we dissect the fetal pig. Yes, that's classes. We are going to spend three labs on the stupid pig. That means that if I wanted to conveniently miss the necessary class (which I'd never do) I would miss three labs, and that wouldn't be good for my grade, which is going to be low as it is. I'm trying to figure out if there is anyone I wouldn't mind partnering up with on the labs, but the pickings are slim. There is one girl that I spoke to after class about how much dissection sucked and she didn't seem like a complete imbecile, but I suppose that only time will tell with her.

four: This whole WB/UPN thing is weird. And insane. And confusing. What the heck is going to happen to everything? It's kind of ironic, though, because there had once been some talk about the WB obtaining the rights to Veronica Mars.

five: No Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, or House on tonight. I'm having a remarkable time caring about any of them though. I'll probably watch BSG, or maybe even Serenity if I feel like it (because I'd like to watch it now but I don't have enough time before work and I'd rather not stop partway through).

six: The first thing I'm doing when I finally get myself an iPod is downloading an episode of BSG onto it. THe idea of carrying BSG with me everywhere brings tears of joy to my eyes. I'll just have to pick which episode, since there's no point in getting all of them.

veronica mars, supernatural, public, school, gilmore girls, house, battlestar galactica
