Today I already filled out my application for graduation next spring, signed up for the graduate writing exam, memorized 15 years and events that occurred in them, and watched an hour's worth of TV in 10 minutes just so I could copy down the commercials. It makes me feel like I've actually accomplished something substantial, but of course, I still have a ton more to do. For instance, the second and final draft of my short story is due today. I haven't started editing my first draft at all. Luckily, I have until about midnight, but that doesn't mean that I will be able to get it done decently. I'll probably have to skip my brother's soccer game just so I can work on it.
Birthday loot:
- Serenity official companion (with full script and lots of pretty pictures)
- Serenity movie magazine (with cast interviews and more very pretty pictures, particularly of Nathan and Sean)
- brown jacket (the same one that I wore to the showing of Serenity)
- Serenity movie poster (from violetsocks)
- Fruits Basket Tohru shirt (also from violetsocks)
- Inuyasha shirt (which I am currently wearing)
- Inuyasha bookmark
My aunt is borrowing my Firefly DVDs. While I'm all for converting people to the fandom, I don't like the fact that she has ALL of the discs. Not that I don't trust her. It's just that I was working through the episodes and was planning to watch "Out of Gas" last night, but my mother insisted that I just give her the whole set. Hopefully she'll go through them quickly. I also offered to go see the movie with her if she liked the show enough. I'm so self-sacrificing, aren't I?
It's
multisyncgirl88's 17th birthday today. While she hasn't actually posted on here since May, I plan to spam her most recent entry with birthday wishes. And then I'll see if she responds. (Of course, she's sitting a few feet away from me in the computer lab and I already wished her a happy birthday, I still feel like bugging her.)
To-Do list:
