Um...I have another confession

Hi, my name is Lisa, and I'm addicted to Inuyasha. Since Thursday I have watched 27 episodes of it. I only have two eps left from the sets violetsocks loaned me and I am dreading the (temporary) end of it all. I also finished reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets this morning and am anxiously looking forward to the next one ( Read more... )

Oh yesssssssssssss. My colourbar of preference, because I'm sure you'll be wanting it:

InuyashaxKagome is stubborn love

The other one that I've seen floating around uses pictures from the show, but I really rather attached to manga illustrations. And the picture of Kagome that's featured in the layout of the Kagome fanlisting is my absolute favorite image of her. Very feminine and beautiful.

The InuyashaxKagome community is fairly spoiler safe. People rarely post in it, and their posts are usually just fanfiction advertisements too. But I agree that you should stay away from it, at least for the time being. In the meantime, how do you feel about Sango x Miroku? They are my second favorite ship, fiercely tied with Inutaishou x Izayoi, the parents of Inuyasha. I have a fic in my head about the latter, their history and whatnot. The next time I see you, I'll just hand over the next three boxes and the first movie. Wheeeeee.

As for HP, you're going to absolutely LOVE the Prisoner of Azkaban. SO MUCH LOVE EEEEEEEE.

P.S. It is important to establish that we do not, repeat do not, hate Kikyou. Some fans can be a bit deranged about the OTPness of IY/Kagome. While it is fine to make tons of dead jokes about Kikyou because, well, she's dead and that's funny, I also feel that she is extremely strong, beautiful, and sad. She is a greatly compelling character--she's just not one of my top five favorites and simply not meant to be with IY. I could go on for hours why; Whenever I think about IY/Kagome I always get a bit depressed about it because of her, but I realize it's pretty superflous concern considering Kagome is definitely set out to be paired with IY. In fact, I seriously consider Kikyou *the* most beautiful female on the show, followed by Sango, followed by Kagome. But it doesn't mean that she's my favorite, character-wise. My favorites follow in the order Kagome, Sango, and *then* Kikyou.

As a character, I have nothing against Kikyou (is that the proper spelling of her name? The caption changed once or twice I believe). I just dislike her for Inuyasha. And as I said, she is something that he has to work past-and it is interesting-before he can be with Kagome.

Sango and Miroku are fine as well. I haven't really thought of them. I've already come to the conclusion that I will be watching at least the first four episodes again before I next see you; if I'm feeling enough withdrawal I might end up watching them all. I will attempt to drag my thoughts away from Inuyasha/Kagome long enough to focus on Sango/Miroku.

I will NOW finish watching episode 33, which has been paused for a while now.

Quick, refresh me on what happens in ep 33 'cause I can only remember things in terms of plot.

Actually I screwed up in my calculations and I was on ep number 37. Episode 37 concluded the Kouga wolf plot. Inuyasha got jealous and Kagome told him to sit before storming off. :) I had originally planned to watch eps 37 and 38 before bed. Then I was on lj for so long and figured I would watch 37 and save 38 for tomorrow, especially since I have to wake up even earlier than necessary tomorrow due to flooded roads that are closed and such. But when ep 27 ended with Kagome going home, and since I've been wanting her to go home for a while, just so Inuyasha could go after her, I couldn't stop myself. So I watched ep 38 and my reaction is SQUEE! It may have had little substance in it, but an entire episode devoted to Inuyasha thinking about Kagome, and Kagome thinking about Inuyasha is absolutely wonderful. And I thoroughly enjoyed Shippo's story to Kaede about the dog, the cat, and the wolf. I want an icon of it.

It's a shame that I can't think of anything to say about Inuyasha. *blinks innocently*

OMG FILLER <3. *cough* Didn't I warn you that hardly anything serious happens when Kagome and/or Inuyasha go back to the modern era, but that it doesn't matter because you're almost guaranteed to be on the floor dying from laughter by the end of the episode? And that scene with Shippou and the pictures is freaking classic. One of the few times I laughed in his presence when he's not getting beat up.

I've thought about this weekend for a while, and I have an idea. I think we need to stock up on movies before we have another movie night so we'll have our next one the weekend *after* this coming one. HOWEVER, for your Inuyasha purposes because I can hear you screaming from here, how about you drop by my house whenever you're free and I'll give you the next several boxes or so plus movies, plus Prisoner of Azkaban? That way we can have another short break and you'll have watched just about every episode of Inuyasha by the time we see each other again.

I am okay with waiting for movie day as long as we do arrange to exchange Inuyasha DVDs. I could call you tonight or tomorrow to make arrangements since I despise making plans entirely through the internet.

Also, my sister and I have been wanting to see Finding Neverland and your cousin claims to have it, so if we could put it on our to-see list, it would be nice.

Sounds good to me! Call me around 8 tonight because I am at school now and am not sure when I'll get home again.

That is wonderful since 24 is on tonight at 9, and I don't have anything to do before that.

I will call you as soon as possible. There's just the little matter of the phone ringing at exactly 8 and my aunt being on the other end.

Oh, and yes, "Kikyou" is the correct spelling of her name. "Kikyo" is also perfectly acceptable, but the 'oh' sound is kind of stressed at the end of her name so it should have the 'u' on it. Japanese is very loose with some spellings. In some places, you might even see a dash over the 'o' to signify the stress, but it looks ugly that way and the 'u' works just as well. I have to check the Hiragana for her name to be sure.
