Ambition is a poor excuse for not having enough sense to be lazy.
This is officially my new philosophy. It's just me me me.
(Sorry for the semi-spamming but I find it easier to separate the good and the bad, you know?)
one: The local station's footie match of the week is Man U-Chelsea. I'm looking forward to watching Prissy Crissy get attacked.
two: I am caught up on BSG, although I wasn't as behind as I though because there apparently wasn't a new episode last Friday. Oh well. But re. the preview for "Unfinished Business":
They're dangling my Sammy in front of my face but he comes with so many stipulations. "You can watch him all you want but he's going to be talking to Dualla, and if you take her away he goes too!" Evil.
Also, Kara/Lee? HJKSHFLhHKJHJSL. There's a picture of them in Entertainment Weekly and I haven't turned away from that page all day.
three: Has anyone ever read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood? I had to read it for my Women Prose Writers class and I didn't think it was so bad but the whole thing was tempered by fear of the stupidity I will encounter in the discussion of it tomorrow. (It's the only class that routinely fills me with the urge to call my fellow students "jackasses" and then storm out of the room. If only you could hear their views on feminism. *shakes head*)
four: I am currently praying that the UEFA game that ESPN2 shows on Dec. 5 is the Liverpool-Galatasaray one because a) I will never pass up on my boys, even if I always have to watch them in yellow, and b) they're going to be in Istanbul again! My inner self is giggling and falling off its chair and not caring (my outer self is still in panic attack mode).
five: Finally, a meme.
Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you list 10 things you love that begin with that letter.
carrielh gave me "W." (these are in no particular order, just as they come to me.)
1. (the) West Wing - It's Aaron Sorkin, people. Don't need to explain this one.
2. (Joss) Whedon - God himself.
3.
wonderkid. December will be over soon and she will be done with NaNo and someone will be around to talk me off my ledge all the time.
4. World Cup - Oh, how I miss it.
5. (Bradley) Whitford - He is very high on my list of favorite actors.
6. Wonderfalls - Brilliant, but cancelled. At least it lives on on DVD.
7. Words - We wouldn't survive without them.
8. Werder Bremen - Miro and Torsten and Per.
9. Wikipedia - It's not always correct but it's usually helpful for pop culture stuff. Even if my brother is a little addicted to it.
10. Whatever - My previous life philosophy.
(A list of 10 things I dislike would include William Shakespeare, because the class I have on him is being a bitch; work, because it's a pesky thing that gets in the way of everything; winter, for making it so damn cold all the time; and whining, meaning my own.)
six: Good night. I'm going to clean up my junk and pack my backpack and brush my teeth and set my alarm clock and then go to bed, where I will toss and turn for an inordinate amount of time.
ETA: My toes are frozen.
