1. Torsten Frings is banned from playing in Germany's match against Italy tomorrow. This is not good. This is very not good. We need Torsten. Even my sister's reassurance that at least it's not Micha is not helping.
2. Clint Dempsey scored two goals on Friday in the New England Revolutions-New York Red Bulls game. This makes me happy and sad. Happy because I do love Clint and sad because the World Cup is still going on and he's back in the States, playing for the unnoticed MLS.
3. Landon Donovan also scored two goals in his most recent game for the Los Angeles Galaxy. We won't discuss how I feel about this.
4. The New York Mets have four starters on the National League All-Star team. Four! And the Braves don't have any. :)

6. I am coming to terms with England's loss simply by transferring all of my energy to Germany. It all really makes me want to cry though. Yes, even Becks.
7. My family is driving down to North Carolina this Friday afternoon and I am looking for some good books to read. I have a list here of everything I've read this year. The grades are not the greatest indicator of my opinion since I frequently change my mind in hindsight but they're pretty close. Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed.
