Re: Germany-Argentina

I am currently re-watching the penalty kicks from yesterday. This time I'm not going to scream my head off, chew on my watchband, and constantly switch between sitting down and standing. There were several near-panic attacks during the entire game and it only got worse with the PK's. I was near tears over Michael Ballack and now it's not much better even as I know that he gets it in. (I was also pretty sure that he was going to keel over as soon as the game was over.) My love for that boy is reaching eerie levels. It's amazing how fast my heart is beating now during my second viewing. I remember screaming like a lunatic after Borowski got his in and then being unable to figure out if the next one had to go in or we would win. For once I was grateful for the announcers in helping me there. Also, did anyone else start wondering when Torsten Frings was going to fall over because he and some random Argentinean were pulling one another's hair?

I've been saving all of the World Cup pictures from the newspaper and putting them on my wall because my walls are the true representation of what I love at any given moment. There have not been any shots of Michael Ballack at all which has depressed me but I figured that surely his efforts in yesterday's match will warrant a picture, correct? Wrong. I think it's a conspiracy. I'm considering just printing out a pic of him from somewhere online. Unfortunately I would then have to choose just one so as not to use up all of the ink in the world.

I am currently so terrified about the idea of Germany and England playing one another that I will almost be relieved if England loses today. There is no way I could watch them against each other. It would not be win-win it would be lose-lose. I would hate England for ruining Michael Ballack's WC and I would hate Germany for ruining Steven Gerrard's WC.

I'm thinking of deleting all of my non-football icons and using all football ones for now. It feels a little wrong though.

I think I've been working on this post for about an hour now. I've been looking on youtube for the whole Germany bowling thing but I can't find it anywhere.
