So, how did I do yesterday?
To-Do for Monday:
- Clean sheets
- Clean the bathroom (joy!) And what a joy it was. My joy is unconfined.
- Grocery stop for essentials, like tinfoil (for my tinfoil hat) I actually went to the co-op instead, but they also had tinfoil hat making material.
- Get contact info off my old phone and put it on Jarvis Yep, I can call people again.
- Mail a care package to my friend in NYC.
- Oil change for Green Arrow
- Pick up the cat’s meds And they were precisely as grateful as you might imagine.
- Renew my library card Ohhhh, I’d forgotten how much I love the library. I ordered a bunch of nonfiction about H.P. Lovecraft and picked up a few anthologies for pleasure reading.
- Return Evil Blind ™ to Lowes and procure Virtuous Blind ™ that fits window
- Also at Lowes, get an estimate for a flooring install in my office After hearing the estimate, all I can say is screw THAT. I was trying to save myself the labor, but for that price I can labor all goddamn weekend putting in the floors and STILL not have matched their price paying myself a contractor rate.
- Trainer appointment I go back today for a fitness assessment and a workout plan. Eep.
And of course:
- Write, write like the wind!
This one requires a little explanation: I wrote like the wind, all right. I just didn’t write what I was supposed to be working on. Naughty brain. No cookie. But this might turn into something, so we’ll see. I’m giving myself one more day of this new thing and if I get a decent sample, I’m going to send it to my agent and my readers and see what they think, and if this is a suitable replacement for X project that was already in my queue.
But I did write 2,900 words yesterday. That’s pleasing.
