Optimism and Disappointment

Sep 22, 2006 14:41

Life is really trying to get me down today.

First, my dad's stuff was moved out of the house today. It feels so...empty in here. Creepy.
But I've known that was coming for a while now, so it didn't kill me TOO much. Still feel like crud, though.

b) I saw the cast list. Now, I knew in my gut there was no way I'd get to be Gray. I knew that. I also knew that the pastor was probably already taken. But there's a difference between knowing it in your gut and actually seeing it on paper. Now, don't get me wrong- I'm happy for Brandon and Cameron.

Good news- I'm now Crutch...and he's married. That's right, in the play, I'm married to Jessie Holder. Hmm...if he's madly in love....then DOES THIS MEAN THE "BLACK PRIEST CURSE" IS OVER?!? I'll have to see at the readthrough... BUT THERE IS STILL A CHANCE!!!!

Besides, all else fails, there's always Marvin's Room, Hamlet, and all the one-acts. There's gotta be a nugget of gold somewhere in there.

3. There isn't a third reason.

Despite all this crap, I'm actually pretty upbeat. I'm going to see the University of Mary Washington on Saturday, which is about 45 minutes away.

Oh yea... I seem to be the Props dezig-ner. Cewl.
