well what do u kno, ive finally mastered lj cuts. took me long enough.
happy belated new year to everyone btw. big up to emily for the new years shindig, twas good fun. highlight of my evening was drew downing the absinth. i bet that hurt in the morning.
things are going well at the moment *touch wood*. found out whats been planned for my dad and i when we got to new orleans (28 days!). we're going to the big mardi gras parade on the tuesday, going to Mississippi, taking a trip on a mississippi paddle steamer down the river, going over the worlds longest bridge to some restaurant, going around the swamps on hover boats to see alligators and then stopping at some island to feed them and going on a City of the Dead tour round the big above ground grave yard to see the crypts (they have to bury their dead above ground coz 5 ft down u hit the water table). sooooo exciting!!! the only annoying thing is we come back on leons birthday and he wants to go out for drinks that night. hmm jet lag and no sleep. me thinks ill be dosing up on coffee on the plane.
leon came over friday night and we met up with some of the beaconsfield crew to go see White Noise at the cinema. naff film, so naff in fact that his mate simon walked out 10 mins into it. when we came out we found him in the cinema bar totally wasted. he then decided to drag us down to TGI's for cocktails. on the way down we found a big prickly bush and jokingly dared simon to jump into it. never to turn down a challenge, simon ran across the road for a good run up and dove (i kid you not) head first into the bush and fell out the other side onto the bonnet of a car. legend. thank god TGI's was closed, leon and i headed home while the others decided to carry on the drinking in town. dont think ive ever laughed so much in my life.
returned to the cinema saturday night with rich to see House of Flying Daggers which was amazing!!! cudnt go to the meal with the masseeve coz had already agreed to cinema but i hope everyone had a good time. cant wait for everyone to return at easter (is that right?) for masseeve crazyness. maturity? pah!
RECOMMENDATION FOR THE DAY: dare drunk people to do crazy things. its hilarious.
