Hmmmm
Goodness, nearly a week since last post.
I wonder if this can be blamed on twitter, the fact the I work over 50 hours last week? Probably a combination of both.
To say that one of the perks of this job was that I wasn't going to have much pressure, it sure as hell hasn't felt that way over the past two weeks. The current economic climate means that there are no real chances for mistakes, delays etc, and I've had to force both of those. But seriously, there was no way I could give sign off on the project.
In other news, I've had a productive weekend, knocking the current novel up to 70k, getting a new laptop bag, getting some new clothes, and coming up with a script frenzy idea. There was a novel that I started a couple of years back that never got beyond 10k, despite the fact I really liked the story. Thinking about it now, it was more suited to the screen, so I'm going to have a go at adapting the first part of that and then going on to finish it. Fingers crossed it works out.
I now have a couple of holidays booked for the year, in England and France. Depending on things financially, that may leave us with some room to squeeze in another warmer one later in the year. Not a definite, but certainly would be a nice to have.
Anyways, off to either (A) go out for the evening or (B) watch Slumdog Millionaire. Waiting on others before making decision.
Think that's all - turned into quite a catch-up post in the end.
