Art in exchange for donations [Earthquake and Tsunami Relief ]
I'm sure everyone knows what's going on in Japan now. Northeast of Japan was severely hit by the 9.0 magnitude earthquake and the tsunami that followed, they're now facing aftershocks everyday that might continue into the next 2 weeks, another possible Mag 7.0 earthquake that might hit in the coming few days, and 3 of their biggest nuclear plants are facing the risk of nuclear meltdown and thus radiation.
I really want to do something but I'm unable to donate due to my own circumstances. I've decided to offer commissions for charity. I'm aware that many artists are doing the same, but the more aid the better right? My last excess dollar went to Christchurch so I thought I might as well do this for Christchurch too. It's been a few weeks, but they still need aid.
Also, help_japan is holding their charity auction now. There are many talented folks offering things to be bid for, so I encourage everyone to go take part in it.
I'm not discouraging anyone to donate to any other charities, but I personally feel that aid might get faster to the people via these organizations because they are already in NZ/Japan:

This isn't really a way of saying "pay me so I can donate to charity", it's more like, please donate, and if it helps motivate you to donate/ give more, I'll gladly draw art for you.
How it goes:
1. Make a donation at any of the above sites or a trusted charity of your choice
2. Take a screenshot of the donation receipt. Blur/mosaic sensitive details like any digits of your CC but please leave your name and the amount given clear.
3. Send me an email at yumizuseki [at] gmail with the subject line: Donation to Christchurch/ Japan, with the screenshot and your request
4. I will add your name to the list below. I work slow, but you're free to check the progress on the list, or email me to ask about it.
