Swancon 2009 - Saturday
Came in slightly later via shopping for more pretty coloured string for con badges (darn those enthusiastic day members).
Quidditch was awesome. I re-dyed the blue team tabards this year and reinforced the bludgers as well. I appreciate this game more and more; it suits all ages and fitness levels and is ridiculously good fun. Lost some skin off my right knee and palm and accidentally skidded into
special_trille (sorry Trille!) when playing Seeker. Got sat on a bit as well :p
Failed to see many panels but did get to talk to a lot of people which was great.
More Than Meets the Eye - The Golden Age of the Transformers was geektastic, the panel was interesting and well informed plus we all had Transformers to play with! There were gentle clicking sounds in the background as we all transformed our toys.
New Ceres Nights - Twelfth Planet Press launch has some gorgeous costumes, food and readings - I failed to get a copy but must hunt one down to read - it sounded interesting :)
Masquerade costumes started emerging and I did the Lympago dance (which mostly consists of crouching and very slowly backing away while being stalked through the hotel lobby) with leecetheartist and rdmasters . I danced with the prettiest girl at the ball (who is darn heavy for a five year old) then reluctantly bailed on Anime and crawled home.
