Hi! Okay, so first? You are a absolute STAR for doing this. The del.icio.us is a thing of BEAUTY. ♥♥♥
Second, I do need to report an inaccurate listing. My "Red Carpet Closet" was incorrectly tagged with kashmir1's tag, and the link you have goes to where it was crosslinked on padacklesrps and not the actual entry. (Which isn't your fault, as I'm sure that's how it was coded in the NL--it's just not the most accurate link.) If both of those things could be corrected, I'd be very much appreciative.
Thank you so much for all your hard work! As a reader, it's an invaluable resource, and as a coder, it does my heart good to see that the product of all those late nights doesn't just vanish into the ether. :D
HI THAR! I kinda want you babies and you should totally ask for help if you need it because there are many out there who will help. I would!
Also, because I am VERY AWESOME and confusing anything tagged rememberbefore should be tagged unperfectwolf because half the NL editors pick up authors by URL and I post all my fic to an open journal. Also, if you want me to, I can find specific links to a cowritten series, so that waterofthemoon can be tagged for them as well.
Let me know how to make any of this easier for you. Because holy shit this is amazing.
That is totally working for me because I was waiting for uterine replicators before having babies!
Thank you for the offer of help. I have no idea how much I'll need to do in the way of maintenance right now. Right now it's easy, the database is mostly built and minor changes are just 'find+replace' or 'cut/paste'.
All instances of 'Rememberbefore' have been replaced with 'Unperfectwolf'. Yes, give me links and tell me how you wants them and I'll update.
Wow, what a great resource! Thanks so much for putting in so much time on this project. :)
I do have one correction on the list of my fics. You attributed a story to me that I didn't write: "The Hazards of Being Sam Winchester." That was written by someone else. :)
Holy crap. This is amazing - a great fandom resource and obviously a labor of love on your part. So much so that it makes me feel bad to even make this list of corrections as far as my fic goes. But you know, just for whenever, FYI, since you asked, etc
( ... )
You ARE that girl with the genderbending pairings :p
This is *exactly* what I am asking for and you are doing me a huge favor by quality checking - I know there will be errors and I can't personally check all 17,000 links.
OK I've fixed all the ones you've given me and thank you - very easy to follow.
Given that you have written a foursome - do you have preferences as to how you would like the pairings tagged?
This way you can drill down via as many ways as possible. I tend to leave out pairings if they are so unusual that they might as well just be represented in the group sex listing = Jared/Sandy/Danneel/Jensen.
And I think your preference is correct and probably the best for the "user" (Also, in this case it's pretty accurate as well).
Things get pretty complicated when there's multiple pairings in a fic, or if the story isn't straight up ABOUT any of the pairings exactly. (I always get perplexed making the headers for when I write character studies or things I consider "gen" but which are rated R or NC17 or have some incidental sex in them etcetera.) I think what you've got going--just using multiple tags and simplifying somewhat--is probably the best option I can imagine for something as large as this project.
Especially since the definition of "gen" itself is so disputed/complicated. (Like does it mean "not focused on sex or pairings?" "Close to canon?" *boggle*)
An amazing and really useful project. I wanted to ask what the date range is. When you say all fic posted in the newsletter, do you mean since the newsletter started posting?

It took me a couple of months to commit to doing it... looked like a lot of work but being able to search? So nice!
All fixed! Let me know if it still needs love.

My preference right now is :
Jared/Sandy/Danneel/Jensen +
Jared/Jensen +
Jared/Sandy +
Jensen/Danneel +
Sandy/Danneel

This partly so that the Gen tag on my personal delicious collection can be read by ascetic_hedony at work.
