Every time their lips met, Changmin would melt like an ice cream cone left out in the rays of the summer sun. Yunho’s kisses were like a drug-sweet, addicting, and gave Min the most incredible high; he never got enough of them. Every time they held each other close and meshed their lips together, they saw fireworks. They knew it was a sign that they were soul mates, both specifically created for the other. When they kissed, Changmin’s heart would overflow with warmth-warmth that could compare to that of melted chocolate fresh off the stove. It was bliss. It was heightened feelings of euphoria. To put it simply, their kisses were pure magic.

“He’s a great leader and a wonderful hyung,” the younger idol would say at interviews. What he wanted to say, however, went more like, ‘He’s a wonderful man, and he’s all I’ve ever wanted.’

“I don’t love men,” he once confessed, and it was true. He didn’t love men, he loved Yunho. Why should his heart belong to millions of individuals when Yunho was all he needed?

At the end of the day when makeup has been removed, hair fell limp, and stuffy costumes were replaced with comfy pajamas, Yunho and Changmin would collapse together on the couch and just hold each other. Changmin liked to fantasize and pretend that their lives were like that of a fairytale, where he himself was the prince, the entertainment industry was the dragon, and Yunho was his knight in shining armor who never failed to save him from the harsh, cruel world. He told the older man this once, and Yunho agreed. They were happy together, and they knew they would always be, alone together in their own personal fairytale.

“Yunnie…I’m so tired…” Changmin whispered one night, fading in and out between the realms of dreams and reality as Yunho drove home from a long day’s work.

“I know, honey-babe…” Yunho replied tenderly, running one hand through the younger man’s hair. “We’re almost home…”

“Mm…”

As soon as Yunho found a parking spot, he climbed out of the driver’s seat and walked to the passenger’s side to scoop his baby into his arms. With a smile, he carried the dozing man up to their dorm. Changmin didn’t hesitate to snuggle into his boyfriend’s arms as he was being carried; he was tired, and the only thing he wanted was his warm bed and Yunho’s arms wrapped around him.

“Alright, here we are,” Yunho stated as he opened the door and stepped inside. “Let’s get you into your jammies and we’ll head to bed.”

“Mmm…” Changmin groaned, his arms latched tightly around the older man’s strong neck.

Said older man chuckled and made his way to his lover’s bedroom. The younger one groaned and reluctantly detached himself from Yunho. With a sigh, he stumbled to his dresser and slipped into his pajamas. After that was said and done, Changmin stumbled to his bed and burrowed under the blankets.

“Yunnie…come to bed…” he murmured.

“Of course, baby,” Yunho replied, stripping down to his boxers and climbing next to his slender lover.

Changmin let out a soft sigh and cuddled close to his knight. Yunho smiled and held him protectively. Nuzzling into his prince’s hair, he released a gentle breath and secured the covers around their bodies. They were soft-pure satin, to be exact-and gentle on the skin. The sheets added the perfect touch to a romantic environment, and even more so to exhausting summer nights when sleep was craved the most.

“I love you…” Changmin whispered against the crook of Yunho’s neck.

“I love you, too, baby…” the latter answered, smiling adoringly as he gently pressed his lips to the younger man’s in a chaste kiss.

Changmin melted into the honey-sweet kiss. He would never trade them for the world-no, he would never trade Yunho for the world. He wouldn’t trade a single day, so long as they continued to bask in the magic of their fairytale-like romance and the comfort of soft satin sheets.
