Title: "Letter From the Listener"
Pairings: YunJae (Yunho&Jaejoong), YooSu (Yoochun&Junsu)
Writer: black_prophet (Midsummer_Slave)
Genre: Angsty Drabble/ Randomness
Length: Mini-Series, Part 4.
Rating: PG
Warning: Emotionalness? Drabble-Factors.
A/N: It was just a random thing the first time around. Now I have written the sequel to the random! And a sequel to the sequel of the random! This of course proves the new 'mini-series' is doing fairly well. But it will soon be kicked aside by bigger things that I've owed you forever. Part Four is done!
Disclaimer: I don't own them, never will, they belong to themselves and each other. And I'm ok with that, as long as they don't belong to any asshole companies. *cough* Wave at the appearance of JYJ Lyrics.

Laying on his bed, Yunho stared at the ceiling and smiled faintly. He could hear Changmin somewhere out in the rest of the apartment, singing along. JYJ’s “The Beginning” was on, something that practically contraband as far as SM was concerned, for all that the remaining TVXQ boys cared. Rather than risk it being taken away they rarely had it laying out where management would ‘happen’ to see it, but the music existed on both of their iPods as well as the CD itself.
SS501’s Leader Kim HyunJoong -one of Jaejoong’s best friends- had randomly called Yunho up the night before the release. Surprised and somewhat wary, Yunho had agreed to meet him for a dinner at one of Jaejoong’s favorite restaurants. The meal had been pleasant enough, the two of them sticking to safe enough topics.
It did nothing to ease Yunho’s curiosity. After dinner HyunJoong had looked a little wary as he handed over the box, his forth-dimension gaze razor sharp at the moment.
“Don’t you break his heart again, Jung Yunho. I won’t forgive you for that.” He’d muttered with a warning glare.
The first autograph he spotted -the only one he cared about in that moment- was simple enough. I Miss You. ~J
Five Stars in the shape of a “W” blurred as his eyes filled with tears.

Like most of their days off, music was on the whole time, filtering through the apartment to ease some of the painful loneliness. The CD of choice was once again JYJ’s, the recorded sound of those three voices better than nothing at all.
It was nice to have a day off, even though promotions had started again. Later they’d head to the SM building and practice, but for now, they were guaranteed peace and quiet.
Which was why the music was playing unreservedly.
I just can't stand to think
What my days will be
Without you by my side, I just can't breathe
It don't matter what they say
I know nobody, can ever take your place
I know you're tired of broken promises
I had too many 'second chances'
I'm a lost man for you, will I ever break through?
It's painful that everyone knows
It's so true
I'm nothing but a fool for you
But I don't care, I'll always be here
Loving you with all I got
I don't care if you love me or not
Rolling onto his stomach, Yunho stretched and reached for a pen and paper. Now was as good of a time as any to write a letter to Jaejoong, he decided. On the way to practice he could drop it in the mailbox and SM wouldn’t even know. And then it would be waiting for Jaejoong when he got back to his apartment.
“Perfect.”

Boo,
I thought I’d return the favor of a “quick” letter while I wait for you to get back. Your plane lands tomorrow night, at about this time. I’m sure the letter will be at your apartment by then. So, first things first:
Welcome Home, Kim Jaejoong.
I know that you would argue it’s not “home” without a certain pair of someones, and I don’t mind the argument at all. Still this is all I can do for now, we’ll be at SM when you land or I’d try something incredibly stupid and more than a little crazy.
Next time.
About the Shirt: I loved that you wore it for one of your lives. Min is back to grinning every time we see our ‘pearl red’, it’s wonderful to see. I know we promised to Always Keep The Faith, but it’s been a little hard to so as of late. That shirt seems to have been just the thing we needed.
Well, aside from being back together as five, but we keep saying soon. So I’ll wait for soon, and work towards it, and celebrate when we get there. DongBangShinKi as Five. Soon. TohoShinKi as Five. Soon. Singing, Songwriting, Dancing and Living as Five. Soon.
Being cut down to only two was like losing a limb. Changmin and I had to relearn everything, how to dance and sing and even something as simple as walk. The suddenly-empty apartment was also something to work through. It’s so strange to walk in your kitchen and know you won’t be there.
I keep hoping.
Soon. Soon. Soon.
There, one for each of you three. I’m listening to your album right now, which makes it a little easier to be here in the house. That’s the next best thing to having you three here in the apartment with us. At least we have your voices. The sound is up pretty loud, and I’ve caught Changmin singing to it more than a few times. I hope that makes you smile, I know it does me.
Without you here, my Heart is Empty, Jae.
Soon.
~Your Yunnie
Jaejoong managed a watery smile as he re-read the letter, shaking his head faintly when Yoochun’s whisper of concern filtered through his racing thoughts. “No, Yoochun-ah, nothing’s wrong.”
“Lots of things are wrong.” Junsu argued, resting his cheek on Yoochun’s shoulder as they twined their arms around each other. “Perhaps nothing new is wrong…”
“Right, right Su-ah.” Jae summoned a slightly-stronger smile, nodding as he wiped away tears with the back of his hand. “Yunnie sent us a letter.”
“Yunho sent you a letter.” Yoochun corrected gently. “Is it safe for us to read?”
“As long as you don’t mind that it might make you cry.” Jae laughed softly, handing the page over.
Yoochun eyed the paper with some misgivings, taking in gingerly. “Well….”
Junsu grinned as he drew out the word, rolling his eyes and plucking the letter gently from Yoochun’s hand. “No, we don’t mind that.”
