NaNoWriMo and other things

Wow, I can't believe a week has gone by so fast. Alright, well here's the update for everything.

NaNoWriMo: 46,557 words. Now, here is the kicker. The story has just been finding little ways to annoy me. At first I was starting to dislike it because it didn't seem to be going anywhere. I finally fixed that problem. Then suddenly one of the characters decided to completely write another character out of the story! The big problem with that was she was supposed to fall in love with him. She just decided to walk out on him while he was confessing that he loved her. Good news, I managed to fix that. Then another problem. It got to about 38,000 words when I realized that it was possible I wouldn't make it to the 50,000 with this story. I thought I'd at least get close. No, the story ended at 40,000. So I added some stuff here and there and brought the amount up to 42,000.

That's 8,000 words I need. So I did a preview of a story that I had been thinking about doing for NaNo. And that wasn't enough. So now I've decided I'm going to add 4 short stories, each dealing with a major character from the story. It will tell about an event that should have been described but wasn't due to the POV. I just finished the first one and I really like it. It will probably end up that I don't need to do all four, but I think I'll write them anyway.

Family History: Coming slowly but surly.

Author's Club Writing: I think I've figured out what stories I'm going to put in the book. It's going to be "Go To Her" (I hate the title), "Theatre 6," and a poem called "Broken" that I wrote one day at work. So I need to print those out for Fay for Friday.

Drama Club/RA6: RA6 is amazing since crew doesn't start until late December/early January! Drama club looks like it's going to be awesome this year. One problem though, the date that the play is scheduled to be performed may be the day that I leave for the Greece/Italy trip. Which would really stink. I need to finish tracking down Collins soon so I can figure it out.

Anyway, that's it from me for now. I'm off to watch "Young Frankenstien."

Until next time.
