Okay, so this week wasn't too bad. I finally got into my English class. One of the girls dropped it and no one else seemed to want to get in so it worked out. Then I dropped my History. So now here is my official schedule:
Mondays/Wednesdays:
9:10-10:10: Quntitative Reasoning in Today's World
10:20-11:20: Elementary Latin I
1:10-2:40: Fundimentals of Writing Fiction and Poetry
Tuesdays/Thursdays:
10:30-12:00: Mystics and Mavericks Medieval
1:30-2:30: Horseback lesson
Friday:
Same times for Math and Latin.
Yeah, not a bad schedule. It will really work out when I go home for Fall Break/Thanksgiving. Plus the homework load isn't bad. I've mainly got translations for Latin, less than 10 problems a night for Math, a paper a week for M3, and a poem a week plus reading for English. It is bad though when you get stuff done that isn't even due until Tuesday done Friday afternoon when you are bored out of your fricken mind. But hopefully being part of the riding club, working crew for the theatre and contributing to the literary magazines will help ease that boredom. I've already gone through two and a half books since classes started.
Okay, so yesterday I took a grand adventure. There is a shuttle that runs Friday nights and Saturday days that goes from Hollins to Valley View Mall, to Downtown. The first one yesterday was at 12. Since I needed to pick up a couple of things at Walmart I decided it would be the best time to go. Well, I get there and walk around for a bit to figure out where everything is again. I stopped at the huge Barnes and Nobles to see if they have any of the text books that the bookstore refuses to get in. They didn't. So I had lunch at this weird chinese food place before trying to get to Walmart. Mom, Dad and I were down here during Orientation for dinner a couple of times so I know that there is a Walmart. I just can't find the damn thing.
So I somehow manage to come across a, I kid you not, a tailgating store. They have a ton of football stuff for Virginia Tech and some other schools. And there was even a Nascar section. I think next time I go I'm going to have to get some "3" gloves for Dad. Well I asked the guy at the register where Walmart was but I couldn't find it because it was around the other side of the mall and I was not walking in 90 degree, humid weather. So I walked to the Customer Service desk where the lady told me just to go straight through Sears. And I found Walmart!
After spending like $75 there, I was just in time to miss the bus. So I went back into the mall carrying the heaviest bags ever and sat on a bench and texted Mom and Chris while trying to read my James Bond Book. Back at my room I fought with my printer for a while before it finally worked! Now I don't have to go down to a building on the other side of campus to print my papers.
Well, that's about all from me for now.
Until next time.
