[After tiring himself out fighting Litchi last night, Ragna felt it was ready to tell the masses to not freak out over Noel's warning from a few days ago. He probably should have done it last night, but he pretty much passed out on his bed immediately after getting home. So whatever.

The only problem is that Ragna decides to try and write the ( Read more... )

this is why writing sucks, such a pain in the ass, noel needs to stop slacking, totally litchi related

[...Noel's warning. Hell.]

...Taken care of?

[...He has a very bad feeling about what it means.]

[Who the hell are you?]

I'm not repeating myself.

[...Steeling himself for this:]

...She's dead, isn't she?

[So he's not going to push Ragna into explaining the whole thing himself? That's a godsend.]

Afraid so.

[A deep sigh comes from him. It should be obvious to Ragna that if nothing else, this guy's friends with her.]

...I had a feeling this would happen.

[He hesitates. He really wished it hadn't, though. ...At least she was no longer in pain. But would that pain only return when she came back?]

[He can tell from how he's reacting, though he's incredibly thankful that he's not going batshit on Ragna for it.]

You had a right to. It was the only way to stop her.

[You should probably thank Litchi for that. If she hadn't told Thirteen about the Boundary, he probably would be. Not that he could do much anything to Ragna anyway.

...He doesn't really know what to do here. He can't delude himself into thinking there was a cure that they could give to her. Not when she worked so hard to try to cure her friend from home and came up empty. Only the Malnosso would really have a chance at fixing the problem, and even then, it might've been beyond their capability too.

He doesn't really know if he should be thanking Ragna for this or not. And either way, she was attacking people. If she couldn't be kept under control and someone's life was endangered, how could he blame someone for self-defense?]

...I understand. Thank you... for giving me the news. I'm... David. I'm one of Litchi's housemates.

[Once again, Ragna is thankful for this all.]

... Ragna. Sorry about it all.

[...Just from the agitation and tone Ragna's had, Thirteen can guess Ragna didn't really want it to come to that either. As a man who's seen a lot of death, up close, from far away, on the ground and in the sky, he can't really bring himself to be truly mad. As much as losing control and screaming his brain out would feel good for the moment, he just can't.

...It was like losing Yellow 4 all over again.]

You did what you had to. Not going to blame you for it. ...But I need to go. [...Tao might hear the news before long. He should be ready for when she does.]

...Take care, Ragna.

[With that, he'll close his journal and terminate the connection.]
