Here is Report V, from Im.
I have come to an interesting hypothesis while, in fact, not mulling over my studies. It came to me in the form of the setting sun and rising moon. If an essence is broken, then the partial beings disassemble thrice. The heart is then consumed by darkness, and becomes a Heartless. It is then "dark", if you will. Since the body is empty of a soul and heart, it is nothing, or "neutral".
So, what else could the soul be but the good of an essence? If the heart is good, and is then consumed by darkness, where does this previous good go? It must be the soul that becomes a good partial being!
It is very strange, but earlier I caught glimpse of a shining object within the Waterless Lake. Of course I question it so, but it is odd.
It seemed as though this object shined at the very moment of my hypothesis.
To-morrow, I will inspect the object if it remains.
