A little bit of British talent
Today's item of interest: James McAvoy. For those of you who do not know him, he is a rising star possibly best known for his roles as Mr Tumnus in 'The Chronicles of Narnia' and as Rory O'Shea in the wonderful independent film 'Inside I'm Dancing' (released in the States, I am reliably informed, under the far less charming title of 'Rory O'Shea Was Here'). The latter is a film about two young, disabled men fighting for their independence and the right to live a normal life. I know it may not sound like it, but it is an incredibly funny and life affirming film; I urge anyone who hasn't already seen it to do so.
Anyway, James McAvoy won the Orange Rising Star Award at the BAFTA's earlier this year, and his career is now taking off. There was a short profile on him in this July's 'Vanity Fair'.
