Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow

My dad keeps continually crushing my hopes and dreams with his logic. He told me today that if after I graduated I wanted to move back in there rent-free and save up money for a year or two until I could move, they would buy me a new car. Honestly, I like my car. It's a great car and it takes me places. God knows, it does. That car loves me and I ( Read more... )

If it makes you feel better, I've failed two classes and I'm doing okay. Me not as dumb as they are think me am.

That storm was overrated. It started out with all the gush and whoosh of an entertaining evening, and then it totally just died on me. I was terribly disappointed.

i'm just worried about what my dad's gonna do if I fail it. Like, to my parents, I'm this artistic super-genius or some shit, so it's going to like, completely blow their minds that I could possibly fail a class. Then dad gets all pissed off and it's all over and I'll never hear the end of it. So if I ever fuck anything up again it's all about how I failed that one time and how I'm not even trying and blah blah blah you suck.

and that storm did pretty much suck.

If they get mad just throw your hands and say, "Grades Schmades, I am an artistic super-genius." I couldn't pass an art class at UAB if my life depended on it, but I still have oil pastel drawings scattered around my living room floor. Your drawings, that icon - you've got it. You don't need a professor's stamp of approval.

Besides, sometimes it's good to fail. There's always a good lesson stuck somewhere in the wreckage.

No, that first sentence was not a typo. You should physically throw your hands at your father. I'll leave the details of how to go about doing that up to you

really, I just want to pass with a mere 70 and I'll be okay. That's what I'm really trying to accomplish here.

I'm sure severed extremities would get the point across, but would defeat the whole trying to get an art degree thing.

Hey, Vincent van Gogh went without an ear. That could be your niche! "The Artist with No Hands." You'll be a sure hit!
