I'm going to start posting the links to my original fiction done for imagine_ink. Why? Because I can!

Here is the link to The Bear Lake Monster.

And here is my Shameless Linking to My FictionPress Profile.

Have at it. Or don't. *shrugs*

Bear Lake Monster was terrific, and the twist at the end. Yep, that's what happens to moms who get too greedy - the Bear Lake monster gets um!

It reminded me of a family vacation when my father told my step-daughter (11) the story of Adolf Lars (version of Big Foot). She had no interest in night fishing with us for the rest of the trip.

BTW, there is a poem on FP about Bear Lake, but it's a happy little poem, no monsters at all, just grandpa's and fishing (found it in search when I accidently closed fp window).

I tried to leave you a review, but anon is disabled by default. (Am trying to remember what e-mail I put my abandoned fp account under.)

I'd like to read that poem if you can find it again and link me to it. That's a real lake; my mom's parents had a house on its shores. I've done quite a bit of fishing, boating and swimming there myself.

And I took off the anon review thing - I didn't realize it was set.

Thanks! I read and reviewed it; the imagery held a lot of meaning for me.

I thought it was kind of nice myself. Have pleasant memories of grandpas.
