He's disappeared.
It would figure something would happen just when I was getting so good at not caring. Catching two vampires talking about the 'Big Champ' going 'poof' and praising the name of whoever finally did it, completely by chance, seems to be the story of my life. A lot of chance happenings stringing me along for a fall. Although I suppose I'm not one to talk, I was the one who committed the great betrayal.
Apparently Angel was on his way to meet someone and disappeared into thin air. I've also heard whispers of 'the Seer' being gone as well, which would mean Cordelia. Two Champions down, which would leave Fred, Gunn, and Connor by themselves. I thought for quite some time maybe it was best to leave it alone, they could probably find Cordelia and Angel without my help. Probably.
Unfortunately, I haven't gotten quite rid of my conscience yet, I've been hard pressed to shed that thing like an old piece of clothing for a month now. Even sleeping with the enemy hasn't quite gotten the job done, although I can't deny that's been a little enjoyable for us both, but that may just be an assumption on my part. Lilah does keep coming back for more, so that'd mean something.
So against my better judgment, I went kicking in doors, and found the right one. After a brief 'conversation' of sorts with Justine, who'd been my first hunch, it turns out I was right. It didn't take too long after that for her to tell me everything, and by doing so betray Holtz, the man she cared so much for and killed personally. All apart of the plan, as it seems. Which would make one believe that in some right, we have a few things in common after all.
And now, the search is on.
