Mr. Jacquel has not been paying a great deal of attention to the world at large in recent months, or at least not to the world as it connects to DF. He has, instead, kept himself to his work and life as usual. After all, he is much more comfortable that way, filling a necessary occupation for however long it remains necessary to the humans around him, which is basically to say until every last one of them is dead or until someone figures out how to build a machine that does the mundane parts of his job and does so cheaply. Running a mortuary in DF, while he might have a rotating list of regular clientele, is not a particularly satisfying concept, thus his return to Illinois.
But he's back. For the time being, anyway. Out on a walk, Anubis is to be found in his usual, human form, dressed in the suit that he wore while driving the hearse earlier this morning and wandering the halls of the mansion with a home-brewed beer in his hand. Anyone is free to say hello.
