it seems as if
arch-right winger pat buchanan is realizing that the bush administration's imperialist policy in the mideast is not really doing the u.s. very much good.
in other news, there's no better way to suddenly feel like an old-timey socialist than by using the word 'imperialist.'
from pat buchanan's recent op-ed piece, 06/23/06: "What America needs to understand is something unusual for us: From Morocco to Pakistan, we are no longer seen by the majority as the good guys...Do we not need a new policy?"
what pat buchanan needs to understand is that people were trying to tell him and his friends that america was not "seen by the majority as the good guys" in the islamic world well before we dropped our whole army into iraq. we needed a new policy years ago. but thanks for getting involved pat, even if my thoughts on what your new policy would be are scary.
