y'all have been posting like mad since i last looked on here.
anyway, in case you haven't heard, Uzbekistan, one of our allies in the war on terror, just gunned down about a thousand of their own people when they were protesting some other fucked up thing the government did. sorry i don't have an article, i saw it on the bbc news.

I am writing to express my anger at Washington's complacency in the wake of violent government action against the peaceful populace of Uzbekistan, ostensibly our ally. If Uzbekistan is to receive the support of the United States this violent suppression of civilian protestors must cease. I urge the Senate to re-evaluate our relationship with Uzbekistan in light of that state's dubious record on human rights.
'cause i think we give/sell them their guns. which they use to shoot their people down when they protest stuff.
