Two days into the new year and it's already looking better than the last one. That's vaguely reassuring.

Of course, we have a dog now, so things could always be better.

Well, that depends on what you mean by "now". Because right at this minute, I am consoling Hattori because he's upset about being on a diet. Or, say, within the next few days, while we're still on this island, we can probably go and find things to do... But if you mean now as in the future...I think we just have to take that as it comes. Right?
