Acne is not a huge issue for me per se, but I do have some dark spots on my face that I wouldn't mind removing.
Should I invest in Proactiv (with the dark spot corrector as my free gift), Clinique's Even Better Skin Corrector, or something else?

Stretch marks are often irreversible, but some people have success with coco butter rubbed into the scar. Scarfade gel isn't cheap, a small tube cost $50 but it was more than worth it. I don't think it would do anything for stretch marks. I used it for serious facial scarring. I had shingles, which blistered, scabbed and left pock marks.
For dark spots you can try some of the over the counter stuff, but honestly I haven't really seen it do much for AA skin. Those are often the side effects of acne. You can try the over the counter stuff, but I would start with drug store brands first. If you go to the department store ask for samples before you buy. Or save yourself some trouble and save up $50 and see a dermatologist. Even if you only go for one visit at least you can talk to them about what to do to improve things. Even with the scarfade I used I still have to use concealer to completely cover my scarring.
Also an FYI, When I as sick I wanted to use vitimin E. My doctor said it's okay for face but do not use anywhere near the eyes, since getting it in your eyes can be harmful.
