after you wash/condition it put it in like 15-20 braids and leave it in until it dries, add a light amount of gel during the process. When you take them out you should have some waves :)
Also it doesn't work for everyone but I would get some curling mouse (I use one by Tresseme and one by herbal essence) after you wash your hair put it in and just scruch your hair you can also use a blowdryer with a diffuser to dry it faster. I put in an anti frizz serum and use herbal essence curling gel it comes in a purple and green bottle and it holds the waves for longer.
be careful with that style though, because sometimes it just looks nasty on people , no matter what the skin color. like no offense to that girl but her hair looks greasy and like she got caught in the rain. just be careful on how much product you use. i know some black girls at school that try to rock it, and it just looks bad
If your hair is relaxed:skeletoncuntDecember 10 2008, 04:48:43 UTC
Straighten your hair as usual (flat iron, etc) and then do what wednsdy13 said. I'd use Sebastian Wet before braiding. I'd also leave the braids in overnight; sleep on it.
