Okay, a meme.
What are your top ten favorite books/series and why?
1. The Old Kingdom Trilogy by Garth Nix.These books are just soso perfect. All the ideas Garth Nix uses are new and different, and the books are simply really exciting. How these haven't been made into films is beyond me.
2. The Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan. Each book has a perfect twist, and although the countries aren't the countries on this Earth, they can relate to how people in real countries actually are, especially when it comes to gay people ;)
3. His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman. The Amber Spyglass is my favourite, even though I cry every time I read it.
4. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. It's HP. What can I say?
5. The Wind on Fire Trilogy by William Nicholson. It's really interesting to see the characters grow up, but Firesong ALWAYS makes me cry.
6. The Power Of Three by Diana Wynne Jones. I love the way the siblings relate to each other. This book is just plain interesting.
7. Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer. When I first heard of Artemis Fowl, it was when The Opal Deception had just come out. I tend to read or listen to things that no one else has heard off, or isn't too popular. Therefore, I was scornful of Artemis Fowl. Then I got it from the library as an afterthought, and adored it. I love how self centered Artemis is, and how his character changes as the books go on. Also, he reminds me a lot of fanon!Draco.
8. The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. Funny, engaging and how can you not love Mia?
9. The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor. A re-write of the Alice In Wonderland story, The Looking Glass Wars is just a great book. It's unique, and Alyss is such a good character- someone able to change and adapt.
10. The Edge Chronicles by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell The Edge is such a strange world, and I like how the authors show how it has changed during the three genrations the stories are about. I especially like Twig.
