(If I could vid, I would so make an Eric/Vince angst-vid to 'What became of the Likely Lads'. Or possibly 'Can't Stand Me Now'. I mean, 'The Libertines' is pretty much a break-up album, a chronicle of the collapse of the relationship of two 'fucked-up codependents' - really the whole album would do)

In other news, multific's finishathon voting I think ( Read more... )

Applications are evil. This is a true and incontrovertible fact. And then when you do write a good one, you have to face up to interviews. But hi, my issues! Get out of the conversation! :)

I usually make with the long words and complex sentences which, so far, seems to be a winning formula. It's finding synonyms for 'experience' which is really really hard. *g* Steve would say: bang on about communication skills, teamwork, and address whatever they've asked for in the job description. My viewpoint is all skewy from only ever having worked in one place. But he is the master of many jobs ( ... )

Oh, I hate interviews even worse than applications. But for different reasons, which is key, really. :)

It's just that the applications make me say, oh I'm so great, I'd be better at this than anyone else. And it isn't true! Plus the constant recourse to thesarus, yes.

Do you know this time I didn't even say prostitution, and yet you jump right there. Why would you... oh, it's because I keep talking about jumping into a life of prostitution, isn't it? ;)

I think that's what I would have voted for if the first three bunnies hadn't been there, and not only because it's the only other fandom there I have knowledge of!
*boggles *checks* Oh, it totally is, isn't it? Um... I still think you should watch Heroes. Because I was looking through all my old entries where I told you I loved Torchwood but you probably wouldn't, so yeah. Heroes. Eureka's fab, but I've fallen out with it this week because of what I know happens. I adore Entourage but it has no girls at all. And you wouldn't like Gossip Girl... (*pets the angsty gay boys*)*clings

*nods* I think I've got used to applications now, so it's just a matter of telling myself I *have* to do them. Whereas interviews are ... *hides* I'm scared ( ... )

And you know, if you want to go there, that's fine, I just think it might not be your calling ... ;)
S'just one insult after another with you, isn't it? ;)

I was watching Heroes S1 last night, and remembering how good that season is. Though Mohinder's accent was much more noticeable then, which makes sense I guess.

Entourage has enough characters (more than Who, for example) - it just has no pairings. There is Eric/Vince, which is the source of all the codependent fucked-uppery, and I love it even if is practically canon they're so obvious. And maybe a little Ari/Eric for those of us who like the semi-violent. Everything else is kind of a 'whoa, someone wrote [fill in blank]'. But there are 5/6 credited cast members, at least 4 of whom actually get storylines. Just no women.

Friday Night Lights is beautiful and I think you would like it. It's too pretty to be on NBC really, it's kind of slow-paced and filmed hand-held, so there's a lot of background action. I don't think you need to know football anymore than you need to know ( ... )

Well, I try. ;)

Amazon does a combined S1/2 boxset, so once I've been paid, it is mine. *rubs hands together* :D

See, the one episode of Entourage I did watch I really wasn't paying attention to, but I remember judging the attractiveness of the male leads quite harshly ... *hides*

I was reading up on it and it sounded excellent, and I know it was that season's 'cancel this and you're foooools!' show. I think the preponderance of young healthy people probably put me off. ;) (YAY LESBIANS! Okay, I'm calm. :)) Cool, goes on my list. I need more shows, despite all evidence to the contrary. *g*

Trufax. Jericho flat FTW :D
Hee! Ohh, that would make me happy. :)

And, um, Schiff seems to be doing a play in Princeton in October/November and then afterwards on Broadway (we think - Greg is doing some research as I type). Why does he do this why?? In the unlikely event that either of us have any money (or the ability to ask for holiday time), hypothetically, you wanna come? It's romantic... )

And now there we will have to disagree, because Entourage is my screensaver right now and everytime it comes on I think, 'man, Vince is just too pretty to live'. With the curly dark hair and the blue blue eyes and the overall loveliness. Gosh, I wonder if I have a type...

And Eric with the red hair and freckles and strength and competence and his general air of 'I will fuck you up if you look at Vinnie wrong'.

And Ari and Lloyd and the way they all often wear suits. And all of the inappropriately close touching and talking ( ... )

*g* Hmmmmm ... ;)

I just like that it makes me happy.
This is good. :) I think Top Gear is probably my show for that, astonishingly incongruous though that is sometimes. Or else Frasier. Sunday night depression shows. *nods* :)

Ohh, but it's good when the pretty people suffer. Mwuahahaha. (Yes, I'm evil. I know, I know.) ;)

*nods* Cool. Might end up that the Broadway run is easier than the Princeton one, but more info. needed. Which I will be gathering up into my sweaty hands. :)

Overdrafts scare me. But they are useful...

(I'm watching V for Vendetta. It doesn't lead to my happy place. :()
