This is why I am so frequently confused by feedback or lack thereof.
This is much better than
this, no? I'm not complaining, God no - the one with the squee is the one I was less sure about, with the animated het-porn, but it's weird.
Also strange but cool, people seem to have quite liked the
Torchwood apocalyptic gen, which is nice. I liked that one too.
And I really liked the beginning of Torchwood S2.
It was self-referential, but not too fourth wall breaky: "Bloody Torchwood", "you're good on roofs" (and I love how sweet Ianto was when he said that). I adored Owen even more than usual, what with his doctory competence, and hanging out of car windows, and general loveliness at looking after them even while snarky. Ianto/Jack date scene was uber-cute, and gave GDL probably more lines than he had all of last season. I don't like the Gwen/Jack, but then I have to work to really like Gwen, so that may be my issues. Tosh is still lovely, and if her and Owen could have a moment without it turning to badness, I might rule on that one. James Marsters is still my crush extraordinaire, and he and Jack were lovely together. Especially that little moment when Jack comes back, and the way there's something genuinely vulnerable in him, even though he's going to cut it away with the "Gray" comment. Also - is this season going to have a real plot arc that goes somewhere? Honestly?
Is there something to be written about interfering with death being the last taboo left in Jack's time? Captain John seemed completely disbelieving, the Doctor did his hateful abandonment, and Jack himself still doesn't seem quite sure he's not 'wrong'. Hmmm...
Work still sucks, still have no drama school and no prospects, gonna go write porn now. Yay porn!
