For better or worse, I'm done with Oxford Law

Jun 08, 2007 20:45

Yay! Or, not yay actually, more "sleep now please kthx?"

My life is a whirlwind of not going out to engage in drunken debauchery. Or debuachery of any kind. Nor do I have any sensible law-type-plans for next year. Worst Oxford student ever, that's me.

But done, nevertheless. This coming week holds only plays to manage, books to read, coffee to drink, and a trip to Cardiff. On that note, is it weird that I'm going to Cardiff on my own, spending four hours on a train (2 there and 2 back) for the benefit of approximately four hours in Cardiff, because I want to see a Dalek? The Doctor Who exhibition lives there, and it was too tempting. It's my present to myself for surviving the term. But I worry that either it'll be empty, and the staff will look at me funny (mid-week, middle of the day) or it'll be all kids, and their parents will look at me funny.

Fannish news!
Happy things = Jericho being un-cancelled. Fan campaigns work! CBS executive lady sent a nice press release thing which ended "PS. please stop sending us nuts. Hee!

I have seen three sequels this term and all three have prompted me to think ficcish thoughts that I know will go nowhere. (In order of goodness: POTC3, Ocean's 13, Spiderman 3). I wish I could write just one thing in a fandom. Or have a movie fandom at all for that matter. But they don't work as well for me. Still - so very many threesomes. And Orlando. Always Orlando. (And George Clooney and Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.)

futureisours - Last chance to sign up to write a West Wing dystopia. I haven't started mine yet, but I know who I'm killing, oh yes :)
