"While the world is full of troubles/ And anxious in its sleep."

Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand
- Yeats, because since Torchwood I cannot get the thing out of my head.

Things I should be doing:
- EC law
- History of Law
- Ethics
- Revision
- If I had done all of those things, writing

As it is, I'm listening to the Stargate playlist on iTunes and thinking vaguely about writing, while knowing I'm just waiting until it's late enough to eat and watch TV/DVDs. This is partially because I have no start-of-term exams because I didn't do any whole modules last term. And partially because I finally got my Admin collections back, and 3/4 of the essays were high 2:1. Which fills me with the unreasonable expectation that I could get a 1st in this module. La, la, la.

Also responding to feedback and once again feeling obstreperous and like switching fandoms. Nothing will come of this, like nothing came of the SGA hissy-fit, but still. Torchwood is fun, and full of people. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure it was just a one-off, maybe eventually a two-off, thing. I can't be a multi-fandom writer seriously, and West Wing owns me for the forseeable future. I'm playing with a few-hundred words of President Seaborn & Toby, but I don't know if it belongs to something else, or if I should just finish it and accept that it's a 1000 word thing. I wish I could write something long, but that would require a plot. (A sci-fi plot... see, Torchwood is easy). I should finish the 5 AUs thing. And (insert weary sigh) Westward Look.

Interesting things:
Link stolen from Neil Gaiman, about Mary-Sues in school-fiction, which made me wish I had a teacher like that
R2-D2!!!

I will do that rec-list soon. On a day when I didn't burn my bagel and have to toast a new one :-( Also - I hate flying, and Oxford once again makes me love it, which is just typical of the city. Pah. Also PMSing, can you tell...?

real life: random misery, writing: blocked!
