(no subject)
I have no particular thoughts - I'm just posting because I'm bored... :-)
I had an interesting Ethics lecture, but now I need to write an essay defending the idea that there are objective moral truths. Because I believe it, but defending it's tricky. There was an EC lecture too, which may have been good, but I was mostly falling asleep in it, so I couldn't say.
And the internet's back, and people love me over e-mail, so that's nice. Now, back to the pointlessness.

10 years ago (1996):
1) I was freaking out about the 11-plus coming up fast
2) I had a crush on the guy who sat beside me
3) I bugged my teacher by asking interminable questions because I wanted to do it all exactly right
4) I was writing, mostly horrendous things with my friends and I in starring roles
5) My best friend (the one who still is) and I had the first of the infamous fights. As opposed to the regular fights - these ones are still talked about...
5 years ago (2001):
1) I didn't know it, but this was the year just before I started to go nutty
2) Buffy was the big fannish obsession
3) I was still thinking about doing psychology and teaching, and I was never going to leave Northern Ireland to do it
4) I had already started considering girls instead of boys
5) My favourite subjects were chemistry and english
1 year ago: (2005)
1) I was having a housemate-related freak out
2) I was in a spate of writing House-fic
3) My laptop broke, and the extent of my dependance became clear
4) I decided for sure that I wanted to go to the US
5) Em and I got to be the kind of friends that send care packages :-)
Yesterday:
1) I had an EC tute
2) I slept from 4pm to 10pm, and then not at all
3) I wrote 3 letters and 2 postcards
4) I watched The Lame Duck Congress and Shibboleth and wondered why I don't *watch* TWW more often
5) I wrote approximately 400 words across 6 fics
5 Snacks I like:
1) Tortilla Chips!
2) Apple + chocolate
3) Pistachios
4) Almonds
5) Peanut butter cups
5 Songs I know all the words to:
1) Creep, Radiohead
2) Brothers in Arms, Dire Straits
3) Don't look back in Anger, Oasis
4) Can't stand losing you, Sting
5) I will follow you into the dark, Death Cab for Cutie
If I had a million dollars:
1) I would move to the US, and bring all ma famille.
2) Do my post grad without worrying I'll end up homeless and penniless on the other side of the Atlantic
3) Then go work as a lackey in TV or film, preferably with Joss :-)
4) Write a Starbucks fueled debut novel
5) Buy my entire amazon wishlist and then some
Things I would never wear in public:
1) A bikini. One day I may get over this, but I doubt it
2) Fluorescent colours
3) One of those midriff revealy tops. Or certainly not intentionally
4) Hats :-) (With an exception for my bucket hat - no wooly ones)
5) *g* Cause I am my father's daughter - an Arsenal shirt
Favorite movies at the moment:
1) The Princess Bride
2) The History Boys
3) Serenity
4) Sky High
5) Empire Strikes Back, because it always is
5 Bad habits:
1) Sleeping in the middle of the day
2) Hiding in my room
3) My dislike of parties/gatherings/college events
4) Tapping my nails loudly on things
5) Leaving my essays until the last minute
5 biggest joys:
1) Writing
2) Theatre
3) E-mail/friend!love
4) A coffee shop and a good friend, or a good book
5) A new DVD, and a family who doesn't mind watching it, all in one place for once
Fictional people I would date
1) Sam Seaborn, The West Wing
2) Willow Rosenberg, Buffy
3) Logan Echolls, Veronica Mars (this is would be *stupid*, but I would still do it)
4) Radek Zelenka, Stargate Atlantis
5) Fox Mulder, The X-Files
That list got very boy-stacked. Partially cause it was either Dana or Fox, and Em had Dana so I thought I should diversify. Other than that - hmm. No, still not convinced.
