Whedon-Squared comment-fic party
Anyone want to play?
I have just come off the work week that would not end, and while I have lots of Avengers fics I plan to write, I'd like something lower stress right now. Plus I've wanted to do this for ages, and Avengers actually being out for most of my flist/dwircle now seems a good moment.
So, the Avengers was pretty Whedon-y, right? Know what would be even more Whedon-y? An Avengers prompt written to a bit of Buffy dialogue. Or a Dr Horrible prompt set in the 'verse. Angel takes on the Dollhouse? The Whedon-y the better, and you don't need to have seen the Avengers to play!
Rules?
- pick a Whedon fandom (on which I am flexible. Everything where Joss has a writing credit is cool, and I'm not going to draw any lines around which parts of the Marvel Cinematic universe are okay in terms of characters) and character/pairing/relationship etc.
- pick a different Whedonverse work, and use something from that as your prompt. A quote, an image, a clip or whatever. Crossovers or fusions also count.
- Post that in a new comment with the subject line: Fandom (Characters or Pairing); Summary of your prompt; any warnings. Expanded details go into the comment itself. If you prompt with image or video, please include some kind of description so the prompt is still clear for anyone who can't view the image.
- on SPOILERS. If your prompt is from The Avengers, Cabin in the Woods, or any of the Buffyverse comics released in the past three months, then put SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS/CABIN/COMICS in the subject line, leave at least three spaces at the top of the comment, and put your full prompt below those. Character names aren't spoilers, dialogue and plot is.
- on WARNINGS. Leave warnings at minimum for Rape/Non-Con, Character Death, Graphic Violence, Underage, and anything else at your discretion.
- answer someone else's prompt! Write five sentences, write an epic, draw something, manip something, do something else I haven't thought of. Celebrate the worlds of Whedon (and Minear, Goddard, Espenson, Noxon, Greenwalt, other Whedons, Tancharoen...)
- ETA multiple fills fine, filling your own prompts fine, all ratings and pairings fine. Diversity encouraged.
- example prompts in the first few comments (not that I don't want them written!)
I don't know if anyone else will play but me, but that's okay, I fill my own prompts for porn battle, I have no shame. If anyone else does want to play, just drop in, bring friends, I don't do invites to parties but I'm glad to see anyone who wants to come by. And if it is any incentive, I'm looking for something fun to write :)
